Thanks to the generous collaboration of the Argentine Association of Psychiatry (AAP), on October 4th we successfully held our 5th Annual National and International Meeting "In Defence of the Rights of the Persons who Suffer Mental Disorders" and also celebrated the World Mental Health Day 2006 : "Building Awareness - Reducing risks : Mental Illness and Suicide" . In this edition we have devoted special attention to the memory of one of the most outstanding Latin American professors of Psychiatry, our beloved Prof. Mauricio Goldenberg, who passed away some weeks ago. We share the feelings expressed by one of his most outstanding disciples, Prof. Dr. Carlos Slutzky, who has sent a biographical note from USA.
